Seven nights at the Domaine Grand Guilhem – six half days discovering the world of wine – six dinners with wine. Price: 1190 Euros per person.
The price includes accommodation, breakfast, dinner with wines and the following expeditions.
- Saturday 4.00 p.m.
Introduction to viticulture (the growing of vines), and the vineyards of the Domaine Grand Guilhem. Apperatif : Muscat de Rivesaltes, Grenache, Rancio. Dinner at ‘Les Clos de Cascastel’ – the harmony of food/meat and wine.
- Sunday :
Introduction to Oenologie (the chemistry of wine making), Visit to the caves of ‘de Castelmaure’ and the ‘Domaine de la Salce’. Dinner at ‘Domaine de la Salce’ or at ‘Auberge Côté Jardin’ (according to the season), The Symbolism of Wine.
- Monday :
Le Fitou Montagnard (Mountain Fitou), visits to the caves of ‘Les Maîtres Vignerons de Cascastel’, ‘Domaine Leyris’, ‘Domaine Maria Fita’, ‘Clos des Camuzeilles’ at Villeneuve, the ‘Domaine Bertrand Bergé’ at Paziols, Dinner at ‘La Fargo’ or ‘L’Auberge du Château Bonnafous’ (according to the season) – Meat and wine.
- Tuesday :
Le Fitou Maritime (Coastal Fitou), visits to the caves at Caves, Treilles, Leucate, Fitou, ‘Château Les Fenals’ and the ‘Terra Vinea’ at Portel-des-Corbières. Dinner ‘La Table du Pêcheur’ or ‘Les Beaux Arts’, the sea and wine.
- Wednesday :
The centre for ‘Cru Fitou’ at La Palme, conference and wine tasting. Dinner at ‘La Rotisserie de Villerouge’ meat and wine of the Middle Ages.
- Thursday :
The centre for ‘Cru Corbières’ at Boutenac, conference and wine tasting. Dinner at ‘L’Auberge de Vieux Puits'(** Michelin) meat and wine.
- Friday :
A free day to make your own exploration or to relax
